Here is a list of equipment that I use when I shoot a performance.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II Digital Camera

Works great for low-light performances.

Less noise when shooting at high ISO.

Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM Telephoto Zoom Lens

I love this lens! Can capture great photos at ISO 1000 in a low light performance.

A great lens to use to get shots of the drummer. Don’t forget the drummer! One rule that I have been told.

Great for tight shots of individual performers.

Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM Autofocus Lens

On a full frame like the Canon 5D Mark II, the 85mm prime lens is great for tight shots of the performers.

Also a great lens for a portrait shot.

Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Autofocus Lens

Great lens for wide shots.
